Woking is a large town located in the northwest of Surrey. The brand new Jubilee Square, unveiled in commemoration of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, contains high-quality restaurants with outdoor seating, new paving and landscaping, and enhanced retail outlets.

Woking also offers visitors plenty of things to keep them entertained, no matter what age: you could watch a show at one of the region’s largest venues, The New Victoria Theatre, visit the award-winning gallery and museum The Lightbox, with workshops for adults and children, or take a walk around Lightwater Country Park.

Woking is home to local places of interest such as the ruins of Henry VIII’s country retreat at Woking Palace, and the first purpose built mosque in the UK - the Shah Jahan. The annual Heritage Open Days weekend in September opens both of these and over a dozen other properties of historic interest in the Borough to the public for free!

Woking has a fast, regular train service from London Waterloo (just half an hour away) and visitors find Woking’s town centre accessible and easy to get around, especially with the added benefit of Shopmobility.
