The Isle of Wight is famous for its lovely beaches, natural beauty and holiday atmosphere – and you have to cross water to get there, which makes it seem all the more exotic.
With the Island only being 26 miles across you can stay pretty much anywhere and still not be too far away from any of the exciting tourist attractions, popular beaches or secluded coves. There are so many things to do on the Island that you will find it hard to decide what to do each day. Will you go for a ride on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, maybe? Or take a llama for a walk at the West Wight Alpacas farm. Whatever you do, it’s sure to be great fun!
There are several popular events held on the Island during the year, including the Cowes Week Sailing Regatta in August and both the Bestival music festival and the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival in September, so if you are heading over to the Island for one of these be sure to book early as accommodation gets snapped up quickly.
