Merston

Merston is a rural hamlet just to the east of Chichester that is surrounded by the picturesque South Downs and miles and miles of farmland.

There is a large Wyevale Garden Centre in the village with a farm shop and restaurant (The Loaf and Larder) and a popular Indian Restaurant (the India Gate) which has its own private garden where you can enjoy your biriani ‘al fresco’ during the warmer months. If you would like to use Merston as a base, the Coastliner 700 bus service that runs from Chichester to Littlehampton via Bognor Regis stops in Merston, so it’s easy to head into the Cathedral City for some shopping or cultural pursuits then out to Bognor for a walk along the sunny promenade.
