Petersfield

This is simply one of the nicest places you could possibly choose to visit in the country, and that’s not just us saying it. Petersfield was recently voted one of the top 10 most desirable market towns in England.

The town offers a cosmopolitan range of shops, restaurants and cafés, with most major retailers represented including Tesco, Marks & Spencer and Waitrose. The Petersfield Market is held twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays) in The Square, and a Hampshire Farmer’s Market on the first Sunday of every month. The Taro Leisure Centre is available for indoor swimming while the Petersfield Open Air Swimming Pool is heated to an average 27 degrees C, despite being open to the elements! But what really sets Petersfield apart is the beautiful countryside and attractive villages all around including Buriton Village (between Petersfield and the Queen Elizabeth Country Park) which is especially popular with walkers.
