Sidlesham is very flat, low-lying village sitting between the South Downs and the Solent with a long coastal fringe that makes it a particularly popular spot for walkers and bird watchers.
Statistically Sidlesham experiences a significant amount of sunshine and relatively low rainfall, which makes it a joy to explore the area from the extensive network of footpaths and cycle ways. The eastern boundary of Sidlesham is in Pagham Harbour, the smallest of the Solent harbours with a combination of salt marsh, mudflats, reed beds and shingle beach creating the perfect environment for the Local Nature Reserve that is visited by rare migratory birds. There are some really nice restaurants in the area, including the Crab & Lobster which offers a ‘destination dining’ experience with the emphasis on fresh fish and the Anchor Inn, which combines good pub food with live music for a great night out.
