Itchenor and is a popular spot with tourists and sailors alike. There is a busy pub in the village and visitors can take water tours of Chichester Harbour from the jetty at Itchenor. For sailors and water sport enthusiasts there is access to the harbour from Itchenor at all states of tide.
Just a few miles down the road is the village of West Wittering, famous for having one of the best beaches in the region. There are a selection of local shops and small supermarkets in the neighbouring village of East Wittering. The Salterns Way and harbour footpaths mean guests can walk or cycle from Itchenor to West Wittering and the sand dunes at East Head, or to Chichester.
The beautiful cathedral city of Chichester lies to the north of Itchenor and is famous for its Roman connections, as well as the Festival Theatre which attracts some of the world's top actors. Chichester is dominated by the cathedral and its shopping centre has preserved its heritage and character. The Goodwood Estate lies just to the north of Chichester and, along with its horse racing, is now maybe most famous for the Goodwood Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival motor racing events.
